On Thursday, April 27th, the inception workshop of the Project «Implementing the Climate Transparency System in Ecuador» was held. During the event, the importance of having a system that provides clear and transparent information on climate change was emphasized.

After the official presentation , technical working groups were established to discuss relevant topics related to the project with representatives from various public, civil society and academic institutions from the country.

We are thankful for the commitment demonstrated by different stakeholders during this meeting; these actions will allow us to continue working in a very solid process that contributes to Ecuador’s climate change management.

The project is led by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Ecological Transition with financing from the Global Environment Facility and the coordination of UNEP as Implementing Agency and Fundacion Futuro Latinoamericano as Executing Agency.
