Cristina has 21 years of experience in good governance systems for natural resources and protected areas in Ecuador and Latin America. She is a specialist in environmental and social safeguards, conflict transformation techniques, collaborative negotiation and facilitator of participatory processes for capacity building. She supports the design and methodological construction of tools for dialogue, governance and conservation, as well as technical planning, budgeting and implementation of projects with their follow-up, monitoring and evaluation. Cristina has experience in research and systematization of processes, and as an author and editor of documents. She has a degree in Biology (Universidad Central del Ecuador) with postgraduate studies in Integrated Management of Coastal Zones (Universidad de Guadalajara Jalisco-Mexico) and a Specialization in International Cooperation (Instituto de Altos Estudios Nacionales del Ecuador).
