Well-known regional and international personalities, with extensive experience in different sectors and areas of work.
She works in the design, negotiation and development of institutional and financial mechanisms for watershed protection in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, and has published several publications in this area. He has led the creation of environmental management programs in several agroindustries in Colombia and Guatemala. He currently directs Eco Decisión, an organization he founded in 1996, which is dedicated to the development of innovative initiatives for biodiversity conservation. She is a member of the Ecosystem Marketplace Advisory Committee and the Steering Committee of Grupo Katoomba América Tropical. In 2007, she was selected as a Rainer Arnhold Fellow of the Mulago Foundation and in 2006 as a Senior Fellow of the Ashoka Foundation. From 2004-2008, she was a member of the Board of Directors of Fundación Natura in Ecuador. Marta holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies and an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from Brown University.
Founder of the Peruvian Society of Environmental Law, of which he is currently President of the Board of Directors. Jorge also collaborates with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) as advisor to the Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean. He currently works as a corporate and environmental lawyer in Lima, Peru.
Miguel E. Pellerano was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since 1977 he has been dedicated to tasks related to nature conservation, environmental protection and the promotion of sustainable development. He has worked both in civil society organizations (Fundación Vida Silvestre Argentina, Fundación Futuro Latinoamericano) and the Argentine State (Administración de Parques Nacionales, Secretaría de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible, Agencia de Protección Ambiental Buenos Aires) and in international organizations (WWF, IUCN, Transparencia Internacional, UNEP), with responsibilities as educator, national park ranger, organization director, consultant and executive director.) After working based in several countries, he returned to Argentina, where he currently resides, working as an Advisor and Independent Consultant.
Her extensive experience in the field of conservation began in 1979, when she was appointed Executive Director of Fundación Natura. In 1992, Yolanda coordinated the participation of civil society organizations in the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (Earth Summit). In 1993, she founded FFLA where she served as Executive President until 2006. In 1998, she was appointed Minister of Environment of the Republic of Ecuador. She also served as President of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) from 1996 to 2004. She currently serves as President of WWF’s International Board of Directors at the global level, and collaborates on the Boards of several national and international organizations.
